We have a hassle free self check-in process for later arrivals or if we have to step out during the day. Instructions will be left for you onsite. Please call the Innkeeper at 626.441.3535 if you need assistance with the self-check-in process. Earlier check in may be arranged with The Bissell House providing there is sufficient time for the cleaning of the house after previous guests have departed.
Reservations are confirmed by payment of your 1st night OR 50% of your total stay with us whichever is greater. This will appear as two separate charges on your statement in the case of three or more days. The balance will be collected upon arrival. Please note: we do NOT accept cash payments nor do we offer hourly rates.
Your choice of 9am seated or earlier "grab and go" ova-lacto (eggs and dairy) vegetarian breakfasts, daily afternoon dessert tea, enjoyment of our luxurious house, unheated pool, gardens, FREE off street parking, and complimentary wifi throughout provide guests with one of the best packages to be found in Los Angeles.
Posted rates are for up to double occupancy, rooms that can accommodate more than 2 persons have an additional fee of $30.00 per person, $60.00 per person during New Year's.
We are a completely non-smoking property (as is all South Pasadena) for reasons of health, safety and comfort for all of our guests. Guests who violate the policy and smoke in premises are subject to a minimum $400.00 charge for returning the room to smoke-free status and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. We appreciate your understanding. We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises, or unusual cleaning.
Please see our Guest Book in each room for additional helpful information regarding your stay. All rooms come equipped with blow dryer, shampoo and conditioner, clock radio, television, iron and ironing boards, spare pillows and spare blanket, and free Wi-Fi.
Cancellations: All cancellations/refunds are subject to a $25 per room fee. Excepting peak holiday season of November 15-January 15 and holidays, reservations are refundable with written notice to the inn 14 days prior to arrival date. 30-day written cancellation is required for refund during holiday seasons. All refunds within these time periods are made to the extent rooms are re-booked, again, less the $25 room fee.
New Year's Week requires separate contract with Innkeeper, we do not offer refund or cancellations due to our prime location for The Tournament of Roses Parade on Orange Grove Ave. and New Year's Eve festivities. We are the only lodging on Orange Grove for walking the Parade route.
30-day cancellation also applies to group reservations, retreats and special events.
All cancellations will receive confirmation by mail or email within 2 weeks of notice.
We reserve the right to refuse service or reservations.
We adore pets however we no longer can accommodate them.
